HMSTC Rules & Policies
RULES AND REGULATIONS
  1. Safety is our number one priority for all members! Please respect our rules and the direction of our lifeguard staff, gate guards, and General Manager.
  2. There is a mandatory 10-minute rest-break each on the hour for everyone under 16 years of age.
  3. The pool is reserved for Adult Swim (16 years and older) from 3:00 to 3:30 each day. All others must vacate the pool for that 30-minute period. 
  4. The pool closes 15 minutes prior to the facility closing time. For a 9:00 PM closing time: The lifeguards will blow the whistle at 8:45 PM to close the pool; all members should exit the facility by 9:00 PM.
  5. Pool closes during lightning/thunder and reopens 30 minutes after the last strike. Closures may occur during heavy rain that impair visibility. 
  6. HMSTC is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property of members, their guests, or invitees of the Club.
  7. Children under 10 must be accompanied at all times by an adult or a swim-tested babysitter 14 years or older. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult after 6:00 PM.
  8. Children 14 and under must pass a swim test to swim alone. Test includes swimming 25 meters (length of pool) unassisted and treading water for 1 minute. The swim test will be administered and recorded by the lifeguard.
  9. Non-swimmers may only use floatation devices in the main pool with an adult in the water directly supervising them. Do not hang on or climb over the lane lines.
  10. Only children age 6 and under may use the wading pool, and they must be supervised by an adult. No unattended children allowed. There is no lifeguard on duty in this area.
  11. Only swim-tested children may use the diving boards and slide in the deep end. Forward dives only, one at a time, no goggles/floaties allowed. Follow all lifeguard instructions.
  12. Small, Coast Guard-approved floatation devices are allowed. Large floats permitted only during uncrowded times at manager’s discretion. No jumping onto floats.
  13. Nerf and soft balls are allowed. No hard balls or tennis balls. No across-the-pool basketball shots.
  14. No running, pushing, dunking, chicken fights, or disruptive behavior allowed in the pool, on the pool deck, or on the tennis courts.
  15. Follow all instructions from lifeguards and the General Manager promptly. Do not distract lifeguards while on duty.
  16. NO GLASS ALLOWED. Food is allowed only in designated picnic areas. Covered drinks are allowed along the pool wall. No chewing gum anywhere on the pool deck.
  17. No diapering on the pool deck. Swim diapers are required for kids not potty trained.
  18. No pets allowed on the pool deck, in the pool, court, or play areas. Any dogs on pool grounds must be leashed and cleaned up after.  
  19. No music permitted outside of HMSTC sound system.
  20. No smoking or vaping in the pool area or on courts.
